New Jersey interior designers recognized at excellence awards

MAPLEWOOD, N.J. – The American Society of Interior Designers New Jersey chapter (ASIDNJ) announced the winners of its annual Design Excellence Awards competition this week.

The event which took place at Maplewood Country Club recognized 16 interior designers and three design students, who won a total of 39 prizes across 18 categories. The competition honors outstanding work in public spaces, residential, commercial and student design throughout the state.

Judges made up of ASID members from across the country used strict criteria to evaluate entries.

“Winning projects demonstrated purpose, integrity, creativity and how exceptional design can transform spaces,” said Marilyn LaVergne, ASID associate and president of the New Jersey Chapter. The winners are:

Residential Single Space:
