EASTON, Md. — Decorating Den Interiors has named the honoree for its highest award as well as several interior design sales achievers for the past year.
Terry Varner, a 30-year franchise owner from Harford County, Md., has been named the 2024 Franchise Owner of the Year, the highest business award presented by the company.
“Terry has been an outstanding leader and mentor to others,” said James S. Bugg Jr., president and CEO. “The honoree must demonstrate exemplary characteristics of leadership, business management and design excellence. Terry is truly a well deserving recipient of this award.”
Top sales awards include the Chairman’s Circle of the 10 franchises with highest sales in the U.S. and in Canada, as well as 30 other franchises that are part of the company’s top 40 in sales.
Leading the Chairman’s Circle list for the U.S. was Kiran Arif, with a franchise in Cincinnati. The top franchise for Canada is owned by Megan Patterson and Natalie Cox in Ottawa, Ontario.
Also named to the Chairman’s Circle are: Bonnie Pressley, Fort Worth, Texas; sisters Barbara Elliott and Jennifer Ward Woods, Stone Mountain, Ga.; Linda and Dana Coin, Ft. Myers, Fla.; Lisa Porter, Dallas; Charla Traugott, Montgomery, Texas; Claudia Leah, Naples, Fla.; Michelle Jett, Los Angeles; Nola Shivers, Springfield, Mo.; and Bohnne Jones, Nashville, Tenn.
The other top sales franchises rounding out the company’s top 40 are:

Decorating Den also recognized the top five U.S. designers who are part of a franchise: Annie Abanilla, Fort Worth, Texas; Kayla Anderson, Dallas; Aleem Arif, Cincinnati; Jill Shuey, Montgomery, Texas; and Paula Wolfe, Fort Worth, Texas.
The No. 1 Canadian designer was Catherine Pulcine, Ottawa, Ontario.
In addition, the company named Carole Canepari, from Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., as its Rising Star, recognizing her sales achievement in her first 12 months in business.
