It’s my go-to for some of my favorite homeware brands – Magnolia Home, Loloi, Joss & Main, and there are some iconic collabs too, like Martha Stewart and Kelly Clarkson’s ranges.
As a shopping expert who’s been tracking some of the biggest sale events for years (and with very strong style opinions), I can tell you this: Wayfair is hands-down one of the best places to find chic, affordable home upgrades no matter what the time of year.
I’ve also asked Lindsey Davis, our Content Director for Lifestyle eCommerce, for her top tips and tricks for shopping the endless Wayfair deals, including what to buy, where to look, and how to save. ‘Wayfair has so much choice – almost too much – so over the years, I have learned to shop it like a pro,’ says Lindsey.
‘As well as running some major sale events through the year – most notably Wayday and Black Friday – there is always a great range of offers in the Wayfair sale section. What you see will be a combination of seasonal promotions, but also ‘Picks Just for You’ based on your browsing experience. This is great if you have been searching the site already, as you will not only get some bespoke recommendations, but they will all be discounted too.’

How can I make the most of the Wayfair sales?
‘A big way to save on Wayfair, is to shop their Closeout section,’ advises Lindsey. ‘Here, you will find overstocked or end-of-line items that sellers need to move to make room for new products. The discounts are often as good as they are in the main sales, and if you time your browsing well, you could get 50% or more off something you need.’
‘The place to find the cheapest products on Wayfair is with their Open Box deals. As the name suggests, these are items that have been previously opened – either having been returned by a customer, or used as a display model by the seller. A lot of the items here are returned because the buyer changed their mind, but some might have been returned due to damage, so you have to be prepared for imperfections. Wayfair cannot sell anything that is unsafe or not fit for purpose though, so if you are willing to gamble on what arrives, you can make some really big savings.’
Is Wayfair a good place to shop for furniture?
‘Yes, Wayfair can be a great place to shop furniture. However, as Wayfair is a marketplace, they can’t personally vet everything they sell,’ explains Lindsey. ‘But when you see the Wayfair Verified badge, you know that Wayfair’s team of product specialists has had their hands on the product to check quality and packaging in a 20+ point testing process. They also use customer reviews to back up their verdicts.’
So look out for that badge when shopping and always read reviews too, as you can often work out the quality of a piece from what others have said about it. Wayfair users are great at leaving plenty of in-depth reviews and images. Wayfair imagery is sometimes misleadingly low quality, so if you want to see what the products look like in situ, head to the reviews section.
When is Way Day?
Way Day comes twice a year, once in spring and once in fall, but the spring sale is bigger and more famous. I’ve seen 80% discounts (which is deeper than Black Friday) across appliances, furniture, and decor.
This year, the spring Way Day ran from April 26 to April 30, so you can expect the 2026 dates to be similar. The dates for the fall Way Day sale are yet to be released, but judging by previous years, we’d expect it to fall in early October.
