Save Up to 60% on Early Memorial Day Furniture Sales

Is it just us, or does transitional weather lead to creativity bursts and the craving to update everything? Your hair, your wardrobe, even your home. If you’re the same, then you’re in luck on the house front, because Memorial Day furniture sales are here.

The holiday weekend is May 24th through May 27th this year, but many retailers—large and small—are kicking off the celebration early by offering big savings on furniture now. It’s a great time to find everything from bedroom essentials to curated designer pieces at a fraction of the cost.

Trends come and go, and it’s easy to get pulled in different directions when it comes to interior design. Ultimately Oprah describes the best choice as the one that makes everyone feel at home: “You opt for muted tones that flow from one room to the next, you choose the sofa that makes you want to curl up with a good book on a Sunday afternoon, and create a space that makes your friends stop remarking on the exquisite art and start talking the night away.”

Find your own style with the help of the best early Memorial Day furniture sales—and save a lot of money while you’re at it.

What are the best furniture sales?

Almost everyone in retail will have a Memorial Day sale for you to shop, and typically we see the best deals applied to furniture, mattresses, home appliances, and apparel. For deep discounts and the widest range of options, look at big retailers like Amazon, Wayfair, Macy’s, Walmart, and Target. Don’t sleep on the sales from midsize retailers like Anthropologie Home or West Elm for curated pieces, though. If there’s a specific brand you love, be sure to check online to see what it’s offering.

When do the sales start?

Memorial Day 2024 is on Monday, May 27, but discounts will likely peak between the 24th and the 27th. However, many brands post early sales a few weeks before these dates, with discounts that might not be as steep as the big event, but are still full of bargains. Likewise, Memorial Day weekend sales don’t always end with the holiday and are often extended through the end of the week.
