The first time I took a look around Domino design director Brit Ashcraft’s charming Victorian home, I didn’t ask her any questions about where she bought her furniture—I assumed most of it was old. After all, she lives in Hudson, New York, where antiquing is like a sport. When we did finally get around to diving into her sourcing list, I was shocked to find out that a few pieces that look convincingly vintage are actually from one big-box store.

The metal bed frame in her guest bedroom, the well-loved reading chair in her dining room, the classic flush mount in her bedroom…they’re all from Wayfair. So, after revealing the full tour of her house, we had to dedicate a shoutout to all her best discoveries.

With very few closets in her house, Ashcraft likes to offer her guests vertical storage in the form of a ladder. Most importantly, it doesn’t take up a ton of floor space in the same way that a trunk or basket might.

Between the turned spindles, curved headboard, and slightly distressed finish, I would have bet anything this bed frame was thrifted. Turns out, it’s actually less than $400 on Wayfair right now and looks really good when dressed up with a block-printed quilt and a floral lumbar pillow.
